Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization, Storage, and BackUp) with Security Clearance

Location: Hybrid, 3 days on-site in Dahlgren, VA Clearance: Top Secret Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Top Secret Infrastructure Engineer to support a government program in Dahlgren, VA. This individual will play a key role in managing and enhancing enterprise IT infrastructure across virtualization, storage, and backup environments. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of infrastructure systems, including architecture, deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning. The engineer will support ongoing operations and modernization efforts, while ensuring compliance with DoD security standards and accreditation requirements. The pay for this role ranges from $55-$57/hour, based on experience. Must Haves:
• Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship
• IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (build, admin, support)
• 3-5 years’ experience with enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, VAST, or similar)
• Experience managing backup & disaster recovery tools (Rubrik preferred)
• Strong understanding of SAN/storage concepts (LUNs, snapshots, zoning)
• Experience supporting secure DoD environments (STIGs, SCAP, A&A compliance)
• Ability to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems end-to-end
• Experience creating technical documentation (SOPs, system designs, test plans)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments
• Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve infrastructure issues and support operations Nice to Have:
• Experience with Splunk or similar monitoring/logging tools
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
