Location: (US Remote)

Role Overview

As a Lead Data Analyst, you will serve as a technical lead, driving data and analytics excellence. You will move beyond standard reporting to lead complex analyses with an AI-first mentality, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders by translating healthcare claims data into clear, actionable narratives. This role is for a self-starter who can lead high-priority projects, navigate sophisticated data landscapes, and deliver high-impact presentations that influence decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics, ensuring high-impact reporting is delivered on schedule and aligned with clinical and financial objectives.
• Serve as the primary analytics lead for top-tier client requests, designing solutions that solve complex healthcare business challenges.
• Establish and uphold standards for data integrity by leading peer code reviews and providing expert guidance on SQL optimization and data governance.
• Oversee the reporting roadmap and project lifecycle using Jira and Confluence, ensuring transparent communication and proactive risk identification.
• Act as the "voice of the data" for key stakeholders, translating complex healthcare findings into compelling narratives and presentations.
• Lead high-priority routine and ad-hoc analyses, including internal and external audits, delivering insights in accelerated timeframes.
• Identify bottlenecks in the data lifecycle and partner with Data Engineering and Data Architects to move toward automated, scalable solutions.
• Develop generative use cases for AI to streamline reporting and address recurring client requests.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience: At least 8 years of experience in healthcare analytics, with a specific emphasis on analyzing healthcare claims data, population health, and member experience. Experience should include working with claims data from the health plan or payer side and understanding prior authorizations.

Technical Skills: Proven ability in writing and optimizing SQL queries. Experience building visualizations or models in Looker or comparable tools like Tableau. Proficiency in Agile tools like Jira for task management and Confluence for process documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python for automating scripts is a plus.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Proven track record of mastering new data environments and complex healthcare schemas with minimal training.
• Experience replacing manual hand-offs with automated triggers or self-serve tools.
