Location: Ahmedabad

Shift Timing: US Shift 6:30 PM - 4:00 AM IST

Qualification Required: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Inter CA / US CMA

Experience Range: 3 to 7 years

Role Overview

The Financial Controller will be responsible for end-to-end financial governance, statutory compliance, and financial performance management for U.S. clients. This role demands strong technical accounting expertise, analytical abilities, and the capability to support strategic business decisions. The position may require managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Governance & Compliance

Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and internal controls.

Ensure adherence to U.S. federal and state statutory regulations applicable to client entities.

Oversee compliance with GAAP, regulatory filings, and financial documentation standards.

Financial Reporting & Audit Support

Manage finalization of accounts for clients and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closures.

Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit documentation.

Deliver timely financial statements, reports, and disclosures.

Performance & Profitability Analysis

Analyze branch, segment, and overall business profitability for clients.

Identify deviations, cost leakages, and opportunities for margin improvement.

Recommend corrective and optimization measures to enhance financial outcomes.

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Cash Management

Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for client entities.

Oversee fund flow planning, cash flow monitoring, and liquidity management.

Support FP&A initiatives, including financial projections, variance analysis, and financial modeling.

Business & Strategic Support

Develop and maintain comprehensive MIS dashboards and financial reports.

Support pricing decisions, commercial evaluations, and business case preparation.

Collaborate with client CFOs, finance teams, and management to provide actionable insights.

Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Hands-on experience working with U.S. clients or exposure to U.S. GAAP.

Ability to independently manage multiple stakeholders and client accounts.

High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations.

Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.

Skillset Required

Good communication skills

Expert knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar.

Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively in US shift hours.
