Backend Engineer -Python and SQL/MSQL

Position: Backend engineer role with Python and SQL / MySQL, RDBMS and database design, AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS), Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD, Unit/functional testing, Linux/UNIX, API design and implementation"
Location: NYC - Onsite

"Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
- Self-starter, but very comfortable working closely with a team
- Comfortable working with stakeholders outside the Engineering team, including Product, Sales, and Account Management teams
- Strong expertise in the following areas:
- Python / web frameworks
- SQL / MySQL
- RDBMS and database design
- AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS)
- Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD
- Unit/functional testing
- Linux/UNIX
- API design and implementation
 
BIG PLUS IF YOU HAVE:
- Python/MySQL experience
- SQL performance tuning
- Microservice architectures
- Kafka / Celery / Flask / Django / Supervisor / MongoDB
- DevOps experience
- Jira or other project management tools
- Java
- Postgres
