Job Description

About the Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with finance brokers, referral partners, and customers while identifying new business opportunities across the finance and lending market.

You'll be responsible for driving sales activity, growing the broker network, managing an active pipeline, and contributing to the organisation's overall growth strategy. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, you'll help deliver an exceptional broker and customer experience while increasing awareness of the company's funding solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, manage, and grow an established network of finance brokers and referral partners.
  • Identify, engage, and onboard new broker partners and strategic referral relationships.
  • Proactively manage the sales pipeline to maximise deal progression, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
  • Educate brokers on submission quality to improve approval outcomes and turnaround times.
  • Promote the organisation's funding solutions, products, and value proposition across the broker market.
  • Identify market opportunities through networking events, industry research, and relationship development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop sales and marketing initiatives that support business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, pipeline forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and sales activity reporting.
About You

We're looking for an energetic and relationship-focused Business Development Manager who enjoys creating new opportunities and building long-term partnerships.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in Business Development, Broker Management, or Relationship Management within financial services, banking, commercial finance, or lending.
  • Experience in asset lending, asset finance, business lending, commercial lending, unsecured lending, working capital, trade finance, debtor finance, or SME funding will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated success in building and growing broker networks and establishing long-term broker relationships.
  • A strong understanding of broker introduced business and SME lending solutions.
  • Proven ability to generate new business while effectively managing existing broker and customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver against sales targets.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, CRM systems, and sales reporting.
  • A proactive, self motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
