Job Description

TSPV/TSPA Cleared Principal Cyber Security Advisor - Lead Secure-by-Design & Accreditation

Join a high-impact cyber security environment where your expertise will shape security strategy, architecture, and accreditation outcomes across complex ICT services. These opportunities are ideal for senior cyber professionals who can provide authoritative advice, lead security assessments, strengthen governance and documentation, and support secure by design delivery in highly sensitive environments.

Location: Onsite - ACT

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options

Security Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current TSPV clearance.

Eligibility: This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements. We are committed to a non discriminatory hiring process but, unfortunately, cannot provide visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.

Essential Tasks
  • Provide expert cyber security advice across architecture, engineering, and project teams to support secure by design outcomes
  • Conduct cyber security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments across complex ICT services
  • Review and update security documentation including SRMPs, SSPs, IRPs, DRPs, and accreditation artefacts
  • Drive alignment of ICT solutions with the ISM, Essential Eight maturity requirements, and broader security standards
Key Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience in cyber security or security architecture roles within Australian Government environments
  • Strong capability in cyber risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, accreditation, and system authorisation activities
  • Deep understanding of secure architecture principles, networking infrastructure, and cyber security controls
  • Proven ability to develop or contribute to security policy, standards, guidelines, and security documentation for complex systems
