Job Description

Job Summary

The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support real-time, batch, scheduled, and on-demand data integrations across internal and external systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft, API development, ETL, system integration, and Salesforce integrations. The role involves requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop integration solutions using MuleSoft.
Build and manage APIs, ETL processes, and system interfaces.
Integrate MuleSoft with Salesforce using standard/custom connectors.
Configure API Manager, proxy endpoints, API portals, and analytics.
Apply integration patterns including messaging, caching, mapping, branching, and parallel processing.
Support architecture, technical sizing, high availability, testing, deployment, and production support.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
Support go-live and post-implementation activities.

Required Skills

7+ years in data modeling, OLAP, APIs, and ETL.
7+ years building and supporting integration patterns and APIs.
5+ years with web services, APIs, and ETL management.
5+ years with MuleSoft API Manager.
3+ years MuleSoft integration with Salesforce.
2+ years administering Mule ESB/MuleSoft across cloud and multiple environments.
Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, CSV, and fixed-width files.
Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Perl, or Bash.
