An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Software Engineerfrom the medical technology industry to join a growing team developing sophisticated software solutions used within the healthcare and medical technology sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and wants to work on software that has a genuine real-world application. In this roleyou will contribute to the design, development and ongoing improvement of high-performance software that integrates with physical hardware and technology systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications
  • Develop software that interfaces with physical hardware, devices and associated technology
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex software and system issues
  • Contribute to real-time, high-performance software solutions
  • Work closely with software, hardware, product, quality and other technical teams
  • Participate in software verification, validation and testing activities
  • Develop and maintain appropriate technical and software documentation
  • Contribute to Agile development practices and continuous improvement
  • Support the delivery of robust, scalable and reliable software solutions
Skills and Experience
  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong commercial software development experience using C#
  • Experience developing software that interfaces with physical hardware, devices, cameras, sensors or other technical systems will be highly regarded
  • Medical device or healthcare technology experience is highly desirable, particularly experience developing software associated with medical devices
  • Experience with Unity, 3D visualisation or real-time rendering would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Experience working within a regulated or safety-critical environment is also considered
  • Strong debugging, analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • A quality-focused approach and strong attention to detail
