An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Software Engineerfrom the medical technology industry to join a growing team developing sophisticated software solutions used within the healthcare and medical technology sector. In this roleyou will contribute to the design, development and ongoing improvement of high-performance software that integrates with physical hardware and technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications
• Develop software that interfaces with physical hardware, devices and associated technology
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex software and system issues
• Contribute to real-time, high-performance software solutions
• Work closely with software, hardware, product, quality and other technical teams
• Participate in software verification, validation and testing activities
• Develop and maintain appropriate technical and software documentation
• Contribute to Agile development practices and continuous improvement
• Support the delivery of robust, scalable and reliable software solutions

Skills and Experience

• Degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong commercial software development experience using C#
• Experience developing software that interfaces with physical hardware, devices, cameras, sensors or other technical systems will be highly regarded
• Medical device or healthcare technology experience is highly desirable, particularly experience developing software associated with medical devices
• Experience with Unity, 3D visualisation or real-time rendering would be advantageous but is not essential
• Experience working within a regulated or safety-critical environment is also considered
• Strong debugging, analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• A quality-focused approach and strong attention to detail
