Software Engineer

Role - Software Engineer - Tableau - Python - Big data

Location - New York City

Rate - $60/hr per hour

Required qualifications

• 3 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience with Python and Django
• Experience building REST APIs using Django REST Framework
• Frontend experience with React
• Experience with asynchronous task processing (Celery or equivalent)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
• Cloud experience (AWS, Cloud Foundry, or similar)
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and PR best practices
• Experience operating in Agile delivery environments

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with AuthE capabilities used for external login (e.g., username/password + OTP, federated SSO via SAML, OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow)
• Experience automating BI platforms (Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Cognos, Qlik)
• Experience building internal enterprise tools
• Familiarity with MySQL
• Experience integrating with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Gaia, Jenkins)
• Demonstrated ability to reduce manual operational effort through engineering solutions
• Experience supporting production systems with SLAs, monitoring/alerting, and incident management (L1/L2/L3)
