Role Mandate:
Serve as the primary reporting and analytics, delivering actionable insights across three core reporting domains: workforce, vendor, and financial performance. Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports that enable stakeholders to slice and analyze data based on varying business needs. Provide accurate, timely reporting that supports decision-making at all levels, translating complex data into meaningful insights for both senior leadership and business teams, while ensuring reporting consistency, data integrity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Team Structure:
Operates with a high degree of independence within a small team of three, while maintaining strong collaboration and regular communication with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, align reporting priorities, and deliver meaningful insights.
Role Responsibilities:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models supporting KPI and QPR reporting.
• Analyze and deconstruct existing Power BI solutions to identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and improved user experience.
• Design, troubleshoot, and enhance Power Automate workflows to streamline reporting and operational processes.
• Partner with business stakeholders and end users to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and manage competing priorities.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders, providing clear recommendations and setting realistic expectations regarding scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Monitor report performance, data quality, and refresh processes to ensure a high level of reliability and accuracy.
• Support intake, prioritization, and delivery of reporting enhancements and new requests.
Must Have Skills:
• 1+ years of experience supporting executive-level reporting and KPI dashboards
• Postsecondary education (does not need to be relevant)
• Knowledge of data governance, reporting best practices, and business intelligence standards.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, report design, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience with Power Automate, workflow development, and process automation.
• Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer and improve existing reporting solutions and data flows.
• Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions, influence decision-making, and manage expectations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience managing projects, coordinating deliverables, and driving initiatives from requirements through implementation is considered an asset.
Nice to Have Skills:
• Financial services or enterprise-scale reporting experience
• Relevant postsecondary education
