Job Description
A federal technology consulting company is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, with a background in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions and exposure to areas such as predictive modeling, deep learning, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), MLOps, experimentation, and AI governance. Experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch/TensorFlow is wanted, and prior work with cloud platforms, big data technologies, federal AI governance frameworks, sensitive data environments, and production ML systems is preferred. U.S. citizenship is required, and a Public Trust clearance is preferred. Required Skills & Experience

- RAG, vector databases, and generative AI tools

- Enterprise-scale AI and analytics delivery
- Statistics, experimentation, and model evaluation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Required Skills & Experience
- 12-15 years of experience
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), including FedRAMP environments
- AI/ML experience, including building and deploying production systems
- Expert-level Python development
- AI platforms and architectures (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI Services, Google Vertex AI, RAG, agents)
- Success delivering enterprise-scale systems and modernization programs
- Background in microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and DevSecOps practices
- Ability to translate AI research into production system
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
