Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support a programme focused on legacy design investigation. The role involves assessing existing mechanical designs, identifying issues and performing root cause analysis.

Contract Details:

• Inside IR35 - £45-52.00ph DOE
• 9 month contract
• Hybrid working - 3 days on site, 2 from home
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis on legacy mechanical designs
• Investigate mechanical issues
• Review and update existing engineering drawings and documentation
• Collaborate with wider team to understand design history and operational performance
• Prepare technical reports
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in mechanical design & analysis
• Experience with legacy design / investigation
• Strong background in rotating machinery/components, motors, generators is desirable
• Experienced with NX or CATIA
