IT Operations Manager

Are you an experienced IT Operations Manager looking for an opportunity to lead and shape a high-performing IT function? We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded professional to oversee day-to-day IT operations, manage third-party suppliers and ensure the delivery of secure, reliable and efficient technology services across a growing organisation.

This is a varied and hands-on leadership role where you will play a key part in driving operational excellence, improving service delivery and supporting future business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of IT operations, infrastructure and support services.
  • Manage external IT support and cyber security partners, ensuring service levels are achieved.
  • Lead and develop the internal IT operations team, creating a customer-focused support culture.
  • Oversee the maintenance, performance and availability of hardware, software and network infrastructure.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, ensuring IT services meet operational needs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, budgets and service agreements.
  • Support the delivery of IT projects and operational improvements.
  • Oversee onboarding processes, equipment lifecycle management and user access.
  • Ensure cyber security controls, monitoring and incident management processes remain effective.
  • Support data protection activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and governance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across IT operations and service delivery.

About You:

  • Proven experience managing IT operations within a complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, service delivery and supplier management.
  • Experience leading and developing IT support or operations teams.
  • A solid understanding of cyber security, identity and access management, patching and incident response.
  • Knowledge of data protection and operational compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
