User Experience (UX) Designer

Description
Robert Half's Marketing & Creative client is seeking a Senior UX Designer for a 3-6 month, 40-hour-per-week contract opportunity with potential for contract-to-permanent conversion. This role will support the evolution of complex digital products within a highly regulated environment, helping to shape modern, user-centered experiences across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate brings financial services or fintech experience, exceptional UX design expertise, strong research skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

• Lead UX strategy, research, and design execution across multiple complex digital products and customer-facing experiences. Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and scalable design system components in Figma.
• Design intuitive user experiences for data-rich applications, account management tools, transactional workflows, and other complex digital platforms.
• Conduct and support user research activities including stakeholder interviews, usability testing, discovery workshops, and synthesis of research insights into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and compliance teams.
• Design within highly regulated environments, ensuring accessibility, compliance, transparency, and usability considerations are incorporated throughout the design process.
• Maintain and evolve design systems, component libraries, documentation, and design standards.
• Translate complex requirements, workflows, and datasets into streamlined and intuitive user experiences.
• Leverage emerging UX tools, AI-assisted design technologies, and rapid prototyping methods to accelerate product development and design exploration.
• Support Agile product teams by participating in planning sessions, design reviews, sprint activities, and cross-functional collaboration. Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• 10+ years of UX, Product Design, or Digital Experience Design experience with increasing levels of responsibility and ownership. Experience working within financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including prototyping, component libraries, design systems, auto-layout, and developer handoff workflows.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, stakeholder workshops, and translating research findings into product improvements.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards
• Experience designing complex workflows, enterprise software, SaaS products, dashboards, analytics platforms, or data-driven applications.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
