Job Description

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting our client with the appointment of a newly created role, CNC Maintenance Engineer, to join them on a permanent basis. This position is site-based in Newcastle on a day shift. We're looking for an experienced CNC Maintenance Engineer who to join a supportive team supporting on a diverse range of CNC machines and manufacturing equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maximising machine availability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across a fast-paced production environment. Job Description

  • Diagnosing and repairing CNC machine breakdowns quickly and effectively
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance activities to maximise machine performance and reliability
  • Maintaining and servicing CNC machining centres including Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Asquith Butler and horizontal borers
  • Dismantling equipment, replacing defective components and reassembling machinery to operational standards
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records, inspections and repair documentation
  • Working safely and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and LOTO procedures
  • Collaborating with suppliers, contractors and external service providers
  • Conducting machinery condition assessments and equipment health checks
  • Supporting machine operators with basic maintenance guidance and safe operating practices Skills Required
  • Time served Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of CNC milling and turning machinery
  • Mazak knowledge and previous experience
