The Company

Based within one of the UK’s leading manufacturing groups my client is looking to recruit an experienced electrical maintenance engineer to add to their existing team. The facility in Rochdale has been in production for over 50 years and is a market leader within its industry. The company have a wide array of woven/non-woven/glass fibre and hybrid fabrics such as stainless steel materials that serve a purpose for the Defence, Aerospace, Food/Beverage industries.

Key Skills

· Apprentice Trained Mechanical Engineer

· Experience of Fast Moving Machinery

· Understanding of PPM systems

The Role

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working within a team of engineers. You will have a sound knowledge of fast moving machinery, conveyor systems, project based work, H&S compliance, installation work, needle punch presses, heat set calendars, inverters. The role will also involve some mechanical aspects working on gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics. The successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably, with the possibility of taking on a more senior role in the future.
