We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP / MCP Solution Architect with 12+ years of SAP and enterprise technology consulting experience to lead the strategy, architecture, design, and implementation of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Gateway and MCP Services supporting the enterprise technology landscape of customer

This leadership role will be responsible for defining the architecture vision and overseeing the delivery of a scalable, cloud-native MCP platform that enables secure AI interoperability across SAP enterprise applications, financial reporting systems, and business services. The solution will leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and be deployed within an AWS-hosted environment, supporting enterprise modernization, AI enablement, and digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines deep SAP technical expertise, enterprise integration architecture experience, cloud-native application development skills, and proven leadership capabilities in driving cross-functional teams, stakeholder engagement, and strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

· Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade MCP Gateway and MCP Services.

· Define the overall MCP platform strategy, roadmap, integration architecture, and implementation approach.

· Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

· Establish enterprise architecture standards, design patterns, governance frameworks, and best practices for MCP implementations.

· Drive architecture reviews, technical decision-making, solution blueprints, and technology evaluations.

· Lead the design of secure REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and microservices supporting enterprise AI initiatives.

· Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture, cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and cloud governance policies.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

· Serve as the primary technical and solution architecture lead for MCP and AI integration initiatives.

· Lead and mentor teams of SAP BTP developers, integration consultants, cloud engineers, and offshore delivery resources.

· Provide technical oversight and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring quality and adherence to architecture standards.

· Drive collaboration across Enterprise Architecture, SAP Functional Teams, AI Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

· Partner with executive leadership, business process owners, and program managers to align technology solutions with strategic business objectives.

· Facilitate executive-level architecture discussions, design workshops, governance reviews, and steering committee meetings.

· Coach and mentor junior and mid-level consultants while promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence across teams.

Enterprise Integration & AI Enablement:

· Integrate SAP Finance (FI/CO), Procurement, Financial Reporting, Supply Chain, and other enterprise business applications with MCP-enabled AI services.

· Design and implement integrations between SAP and enterprise platforms including CRM, HR, ITSM, data platforms, analytics solutions, and third-party applications.

· Enable secure interoperability between enterprise systems and AI platforms, LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent business services.

· Define enterprise-wide API management, authentication, authorization, and data governance frameworks.

Delivery & Operational Excellence:

· Lead end-to-end implementation activities including solution design, development oversight, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.

· Establish DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and operational support frameworks.

· Drive cloud-native engineering best practices, automation, infrastructure-as-code adoption, and platform reliability initiatives.

· Manage technical risks, dependencies, architectural escalations, and remediation plans.

· Ensure successful delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality, performance, scalability, and security standards.

Required Qualifications:

· 12+ years of SAP implementation, integration, and enterprise architecture experience, including large-scale transformation initiatives.

· 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).

· Proven experience leading enterprise architecture and integration programs involving SAP landscapes.

· Strong experience designing enterprise integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud Integration, and API Management.

· Experience building and leading teams delivering API-first, cloud-native, and microservices-based architectures.

· Experience deploying and managing enterprise-grade applications in AWS environments.

· Deep understanding of enterprise security frameworks, authentication protocols, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, Zero Trust principles, and governance models.

· Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines, DevOps operating models, and cloud engineering best practices.

· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional global teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.

· Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

· Experience managing architecture reviews, technical governance boards, and strategic technology initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience designing and implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) Gateway and MCP Server architectures.

· Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, and AI orchestration platforms with enterprise applications.

· Deep understanding of SAP Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Financial Reporting, Procurement, and Supply Chain processes.

· Experience with SAP CAP, SAP Cloud SDK, SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, API Management, and SAP Build services.

· Experience designing enterprise AI platforms and AI governance frameworks.

· Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering practices.

· AWS Solution Architect, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or relevant cloud certifications.

· Experience operating within gaming, hospitality, casino, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
