Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a Data Engineer to join a high-impact client engagement within the Financial Services sector.

This role focuses on building and supporting scalable data solutions, data pipelines, and data integration processes across cloud and database environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and data modeling, with experience working in AWS-based data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Build and maintain scalable data integration solutions
  • Develop complex SQL queries, procedures, and transformations
  • Design and manage data models supporting analytics and reporting
  • Perform data mapping, validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources
  • Support cloud-based data platforms and data warehouse solutions
  • Work with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, and Oracle databases
  • Troubleshoot data quality and performance issues
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver data solutions
  • Document data models, mappings, and transformation logic

Required Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of Data Engineering experience
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills
  • Hands-on ETL/ELT development experience
  • Experience building and supporting data pipelines
  • Strong data modeling and data management experience
  • Experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and/or Amazon Redshift
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
  • Experience working in enterprise-scale data environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting BI and reporting platforms
  • Tableau experience
  • Data governance and data quality experience
  • Financial Services experience

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $118,000
  • Annual bonus target of 15%

  • Hybrid schedule may apply based on client requirements
