Job Description

Personalsachbearbeiter (w/m/d) | Essen, Germany | Hybrid We're seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist for a leading global retailer, known for revolutionizing the discount sector and impacting millions of lives. The Role • Manage the accurate and timely execution of monthly payroll for various entities, adhering to all legal, collective, and company regulations. • Prepare employment contracts, references, and maintain employee files and records. • Advise employees and management on payroll-related matters, including labor, income tax, and social security issues. • Serve as the primary point of contact for health insurance providers, social security agencies, and authorities, handling certifications and reporting. • Process and reconcile payroll data for accounting purposes, including journal entries and personnel provisions. • Stay updated on and implement changes in payroll regulations and legal requirements. • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for optimization within payroll operations. What You'll Need • Completed commercial apprenticeship with several years of experience in payroll or personnel administration. • Solid understanding of current labor, income tax, and social security laws. • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. • Familiarity with HR management and payroll systems, ideally SAP HCM or P&I Loga. • High commitment, strong service orientation, initiative, and ability to work independently. • Excellent teamwork, reliability, and resilience. • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities. • Interest in digital HR transformation.
