Vice President - IT

We are looking for a strategic and delivery-focused Vice President – IT to lead technology strategy, software delivery, digital transformation, and client-facing technology engagements for a logistics organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the IT strategy aligned with business and logistics operations.

• Lead software development, technology delivery, IT operations, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Own large-scale programs, delivery governance, budgets, timelines, quality, and stakeholder management.

• Drive technology solutions across logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehouse, and enterprise platforms.

• Build and lead high-performing technology and delivery teams.

• Engage directly with key clients and business stakeholders, understanding requirements and ensuring successful technology outcomes.

• Establish delivery governance, KPIs, risk management, and continuous improvement practices.

• Partner with the executive leadership team on technology investments, transformation, and innovation.

Mandatory Requirements

• 15+ years of IT experience, preferably with significant experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related domains.

• Hands-on exposure to software development earlier in the career, with a strong understanding of SDLC, architecture, engineering practices, and technology platforms.

• Must have worked as a Project Manager / Program Manager during the career.

• Proven experience in IT delivery management, including managing multiple projects/programs, teams, budgets, and customer commitments.

• Must have transitioned from technology/delivery leadership into a client-facing role before assuming a Vice President-level position.

• Demonstrated experience managing senior client relationships, executive stakeholders, escalations, and strategic engagements.

• Strong combination of technology, program delivery, business, and customer-facing leadership.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.

Preferred

• Experience leading IT for a logistics or supply-chain organization.

• Exposure to ERP, TMS, WMS, transportation platforms, APIs, cloud, data, and digital transformation.

• Experience managing large distributed technology teams and global client engagements.
