Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Are you anexperienced Electrical Design Engineer with SC Clearance and a background incomplex engineering projects? We're working with a highly respected consultancydelivering critical infrastructure and defence projects across the UK and arelooking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growingPortsmouth team. This is anexcellent opportunity to work on nationally important programmes, supportingthe delivery of secure, high-profile facilities and infrastructure within thedefence sector.
The Role
As a SeniorElectrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovativeand technically robust electrical building services designs across a range ofdefence and secure environment projects.
Responsibilitieswill include:

• Leadingelectrical design packages from concept through to completion.

• Producingdetailed calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings.

• Managing projectdeliverables, budgets and programme requirements.

• Collaboratingwith multidisciplinary design teams and key stakeholders.

• Undertaking sitevisits, surveys and design reviews.

• Mentoring juniorengineers and supporting technical development within the team.

• Ensuring designscomply with industry regulations, security requirements and clientspecifications.

About You:
To be considered,you should possess:

• Degreequalification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or arelated discipline.

• Proven experiencedelivering electrical building services design projects within a consultancy orcontractor design environment.

• Current SCClearance (or eligibility to maintain existing clearance).

• Strongunderstanding of UK building regulations, British Standards and industry bestpractice.

• Experience usingindustry-standard design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.

• Excellentcommunication and stakeholder management skills.

DesirableExperience

• Previousexperience working on defence, military, MOD, secure government orhigh-security infrastructure projects.

• Chartered statusor working towards Chartered Engineer accreditation.

• Experienceleading multidisciplinary project teams.
