Seeking a Identity and Access Management Administrator with 3+ years' experience in security operations, IDM, or a closely related ICT security discipline.
The Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting Identity and Access Management (IDAM) systems and services to support the secure delivery and use of enterprise information and technology resources. They will administer identity lifecycle processes, access control mechanisms, and authentication services using appropriate tools and techniques that conform to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations. Working in a diverse team environment, this will involve sharing outcomes and experience with others to support development and growth. This role sits within the Identity and Access Management team which provides fit for purpose identity, authentication, and access management capabilities that reliably serve business use cases. The team employs contemporary and innovative tools and techniques to automate identity provisioning, access reviews, and security administration tasks on enterprise IDAM platforms. Part of this role is ensuring that security operations activities align with standard approaches employed by the team, and that risks associated with identity and access changes are appropriately managed and mitigated.
Key Responsibilities- Manages the administration of identity and access management systems, including user provisioning, de provisioning, and access reviews. Ensures access control mechanisms align with security policies and regulatory requirements. - IRAG
- Monitors and maintains IDAM system health, performance, and security posture. Configures tools and/or creates scripts to automate identity lifecycle processes, access certifications, and audit reporting. Maintains operational procedures and checks that they are executed following agreed standards. - SCAD
- Ensures that operational issues related to identity and access services are identified, recorded, monitored and resolved. Provides appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers. - ITPO
- Investigates and resolves access violations, authentication failures, and identity related security incidents. Maintains records of access control activities and supports audit and compliance activities. - SCTY
- Works collaboratively with teams of technology specialists, security professionals, and systems administrators, within the organisation and with external partners.
- A deep understanding of identity and access management principles including identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorisation, and access governance.
- Proficiency in administering IDAM platforms and tools, with experience in user provisioning, role based access control, and privileged access management.
- Analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to investigate access violations, troubleshoot authentication issues, and resolve identity related security incidents.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills including a proven ability to work effectively as a member of cross functional teams.
- Relevant tertiary and/or industry qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Information Technology, Cert IV in Cyber Security, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, SANS GIAC certifications).
- Industry certification or training in IDAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Okta, Ping identity, ForgeRock, or IBM Security Verify.
- Ability to support identity and access management operations including user provisioning and de provisioning, access reviews and certifications, role based access control, privileged access management, authentication and federation services, and audit and compliance reporting.
- Ability to integrate IDAM services with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, HR systems, email and collaboration platforms, enterprise logging and SIEM solutions, and IT service management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation and track work using collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Experience troubleshooting identity and access issues using logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Elastic Stack (ELK), or similar SIEM platforms.
- Experience with authentication and federation protocols including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, RADIUS, and Kerberos.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or BASH to support identity lifecycle management and operational tasks.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Delinea (formerly Thycotic).
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipeline toolsets including GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift or similar applications.
12 Months Contract with 2 x 12 month extensions.
Security ClearanceTSPV - Security Clearance required.
