We Are Hiring: Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer (Remote / Colorado Local)

We are seeking a senior Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer to act as the primary infrastructure lead on cloud migration and modernization projects. Operating within a DevOps methodology, you will implement enterprise-grade cloud designs, build robust monitoring, and automate environment deployments.

• Location: Remote (Candidates must be local to anywhere within the state of Colorado)

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code: Deploy and manage native Google Cloud Platform infrastructure utilizing Terraform integrated into automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Networking & Compute: Configure and deploy highly available VPC environments, Shared VPCs, and cloud compute instances across enterprise workloads.
• Security Automation: Partner with NetSecOps and the CISO team to embed identity, governance, and network security policies directly into reusable templates.
• Observability & Support: Design comprehensive monitoring, logging, and reporting capabilities. Serve as a Tier-2 escalation point for incident resolution.
• On-Call Operations: Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule to provide system monitoring and rapid response for production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core Google Cloud Platform Experience: 5+ years of infrastructure development experience handling Google Cloud Platform foundational services (compute, network, storage, security, and automation).
• Infrastructure as Code: 5+ years of hands-on IaC experience using Terraform or similar tools.
• Technical Domain Depth: Extensive background in Windows and Linux IaaS, container systems, business continuity/disaster recovery, and large-scale enterprise deployments.
• CI/CD Automation: Proven experience building, maintaining, and deploying infrastructure through automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting: Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, YAML, and PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer certifications.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
