Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Senior Enterprise Architects to be based at their client's office in London/Manchester/Leeds/Bristol, UK.

This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London/Manchester/Leeds/Bristol office 2-3 days per week .

This is a 12 month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

The Role

The Enterprise Architect will provide enterprise architecture capability within the CTO Consumer Home Lending. Working within agreed architectural direction, the role supports the development, documentation, and assurance of end to end architectures across multiple domains. This includes shaping solution designs, supporting feasibility assessments and roadmaps, producing architectural artefacts, identifying cross domain dependencies and risks, and contributing to architecture governance.

The role works closely with delivery, platform, and engineering teams to maintain architectural coherence while enabling pragmatic delivery.The role requires strong technical architecture skills across applications, integration, data, infrastructure, and cloud platforms. This includes hands on capability in defining hybrid cloud and hosting architectures, API led and event driven integration patterns, and non functional design covering security, resilience, availability, and regulatory requirements. The Enterprise Architect is expected to produce and assess solution designs, architecture decision records, and target-state models, applying sound engineering judgement and trade off analysis. Success in the role depends on the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams, understand modern delivery practices, and working within technology guardrails from across the broader organisation.

Experienced Enterprise Architect with a proven track record of shaping and delivering architecture vision, strategy, and transformation within Consumer Banking. Extensive knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Public and Private Cloud platforms, API-led integration, traditional hosting, and event-driven architectures, enabling the design of scalable, resilient, and customer-centric banking solutions. Strong expertise in feasibility assessments, architecture governance, technology evaluation, and strategic road-mapping, supporting investment decisions and large-scale transformation programmes. Recognised for aligning technology strategy with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer outcomes while driving innovation, operational efficiency, and long-term architectural sustainability across Consumer Banking

Key Responsibilities

• Produce highlevel architecture, future/north star and emerging technology views and roadmaps - with a view to start implementing 'ARchitecture as Code'
• Provide architectural guidance, including external expertise on trends and best practice for strategy, principles, standards and guardrails.
• Help with transition states, designs and architecture delivery
• Embedded within the programme and work with workstreams leads to help drive scope, requirements, archiecture and design roadmaps
• Stakeholder engagment both Internal and External involved in the programme.
• Responsible for delivering designs, tooling strategy and data delivery patterns

Key Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Must be strong across architecture disciplines but also have a understanding and ability to take on 'Architecture as Code', concept of composiblty, ability to work across business domains and the capability to build architecture components themselves

Desirable Skills:

• Expertise across multiple technologies supporting CTO Architecture Platforms, combined with strong stakeholder management and architectural leadership. Extensive banking domain knowledge spanning Consumer Banking, including Consumer Home Lending alongside experience in Machine Learning, Cloud Services, Artificial Intelligence, and Agentic AI solutions.
