Role:                    Power BI Developer

Duration:            6 Months with possible extensions

Location:             Hybrid – 50% from client location in Ranch Cardova, CA  and 50% Remote

  Please make sure candidates are aware that the client is a defense contractor and will validate their work authorization status before they start.

Prefer candidates in Sacramento, CA or the nearby areas

 

Candidates must be willing to pick-up a client issued laptop in person from the closest client facility….Any expenses incurred for this would be reimbursed.

 

Description:

Seeking a Power BI developer to support our customer’s facility business users in Rancho Cardova, CA, which currently runs reporting off Access + Power BI. In addition, this role will also build Power BI reports to support our customer’s Microsoft Fabric implementation.  This is a hybrid contract role requiring ship due to the government/defense-adjacent nature of the site.

 

Responsibilities:

•     Build, maintain, and extend Power BI reports and datasets supporting on-site business users in the Sacramento facility.

•     Build Power BI reports to support the Fabric implementation project team.

•     Work within an existing Access + Power BI environment; help modernize and stabilize reporting.

•     Support manually calculated revenue tracking and manufacturing-floor production tracking.

•     Collaborate on-site during planning and scheduling periods to align with facility operations.

 

Required Qualifications:

•     Strong hands-on Power BI development experience (report and dataset build, DAX, data modeling).

•     Experience with Microsoft Access, ideally paired with Power BI.

•     Experience in government or defense manufacturing environments.

•     Experience manually calculating revenue and/or tracking manufacturing production through the shop floor.

•     Microsoft Fabric experience is a nice to have.

•     Should have Aerospace and Defense industry manufacturing experience.
