Job Description

Project Manager – Refurbishment &amp; Fit-Out<br />Location: North West (Site-Based)<br />Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Benefits An established and highly regarded main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing delivery team. With an increasing pipeline of refurbishment and fit-out projects across the North West, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial schemes. The successful candidate will initially be based on a major refurbishment project in Sheffield, which is due to commence around Christmas. Valued at approximately £11 million and programmed over 40 weeks, this project represents an exciting opportunity to lead a significant scheme while contributing to the continued growth of the business. The Role As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from site mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the site team, commercial department, design team, subcontractors, and clients, you will drive project performance while maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects on site.
  • Lead site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of quality throughout project delivery.
  • Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial and design teams to resolve issues and identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. About You The successful candidate will have:
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
  • A proven track record delivering commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects.
  • Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage site teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety legislation, and project programming.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills. What's on Offer
