Senior Microsoft Technical Consultant

We are growing our community of dedicated engineers committed to delivering excellence to government agencies and Canberra-region businesses. We are seeking Senior Microsoft Technical Consultants who can bring their expertise and a can do attitude to develop and deliver technical solutions that strengthen the business outcomes and security posture of our clients.

You will act as the technical lead on projects, likely overseeing other consultants on larger engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Forge strong relationships within Brennan and with our customers.
• Lead customer workshops to capture requirements for solution development.
• Communicate technical solutions and their business benefits to diverse stakeholders.
• Work with Project Managers to define and plan project delivery, schedules and resource requirements.
• Act as a technical leader and drive business outcomes from projects.
• Conduct comprehensive system discovery and analysis to drive solution development and delivery.
• Design and implement end to end architectures aligned with security standards.
• Develop documentation artefacts to describe technical solutions, configurations, and procedures.
• Execute system changes, upgrades, and implementations.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years IT project delivery experience.
• Skills and experience with Microsoft technologies - Current OS, infrastructure, and management capabilities.
• Specialising in most of the following technologies: SOE build through MDT/SCCM/Intune, Active Directory, M365, AVD/RDS/Citrix, other core Microsoft products.
• Design and Implementation skills and experience in on premises, hybrid and cloud Microsoft technologies.
• Delivering Essential Eight and ISM aligned solutions uplifting security posture of environments with a focus on restricting administrative privileges.
• Skills in automation and integration using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code.
• Specialising in endpoint management principals like RSoP, application allowlisting, Essential 8, security baselines.
• Exposure to complementary non Microsoft solutions in the IAM, Monitoring, SIEM, and SASE space.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
