About the Role

  • We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in the Life Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in actuarial systems, policy administration platforms, insurance product calculations, and business analysis practices. This role requires close collaboration with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver scalable digital solutions for Life Insurance products and processes.

Business Analysis & Requirement Management

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Actuarial, Finance, Operations, and Product stakeholders.
  • Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Conduct requirement workshops and facilitate discussions between business and technology teams.
  • Perform impact analysis and gap analysis for new business initiatives and system enhancements.

Actuarial & Life Insurance Domain

  • Work closely with actuarial teams to understand pricing models, policy calculations, actuarial assumptions, reserves, and financial projections.
  • Support modernization and transformation initiatives involving actuarial platforms and policy administration systems.
  • Validate insurance product rules, premium calculations, policy servicing, claims, and financial outputs.
  • Understand end-to-end Life Insurance processes including New Business, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims, Finance & Accounting, and Actuarial Calculations and Reporting.

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Translate business requirements into functional solutions for development teams.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning activities.
  • Coordinate with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support API integration and system interface requirements.

Testing & Validation

  • Prepare test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Support SIT and UAT activities.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis.
  • Ensure solution quality through functional validation and business signoffs.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with business stakeholders across Actuarial, Finance, Operations, Underwriting, and Technology teams.
  • Present project updates, business impacts, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive resolution of business and system issues through effective communication.

Required Skills - Domain Expertise

  • Strong experience in Life Insurance domain.
  • Good understanding of Actuarial processes and systems.
  • Knowledge of policy administration, product setup, premium calculations, claims, and financial reporting.
