Job Description
MedScope, a leader in the healthcare industry since 1999, supports tens of thousands of
Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) users nationwide. Our work helps
individuals—many of whom are Medicaid members—remain safe and independent in their
homes.
Role Overview
This is a 1099 independent contractor role ideal for individuals looking to add
supplemental, low-complexity work to their schedule.
Installers set their availability and capacity in advance. Jobs are assigned; installers are
responsible for coordinating appointments directly with members/caregivers and
completing work within required timeframes (SLA-driven).
Responsibilities
• Coordinate appointment scheduling directly with clients
• Delivery, initial setup and testing of personal emergency response equipment in
clients’ homes
• Educate clients/caregivers on device usage, features and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation
Field Technician/Installer – Job Description
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls and client interactions using
company software
• Collaborate with member support and installer coordinators to provide seamless
support to members
• Obtain appropriate signatures via Docusign on all required paperwork during
installation appointments
• Adherent to all safety protocols, regulatory requirements and company policies
during installations
Key Qualifications
• Must have a vehicle and provide valid driver's license, registration and auto
insurance documentation
• Willing to complete background checks and training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working email address, smartphone with voicemail and basic computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently
• Commitment to meeting/exceeding service level requirements
• Field technician, cable/alarm installation experience a plus but not required
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This role requires regular travel to member homes and may involve physical activity,
including bending, kneeling, reaching and climbing stairs. Contractors may need to carry
and handle lightweight equipment (typically under 10-15 pounds) and work in a variety of
home environments.

0–25 miles: $32
25.1–40 miles: $48.50
40.1–75 miles: $72.00
75.1+ miles: $90
You are paid per trip (one-way mileage), regardless of install outcome.
