Senior Analyst - Fixed Income Operations

Overview

We are seeking an Associate to join the Fixed Income Reference Data team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of security and account reference data that supports the firm's fixed income trading platform.

The team currently consists of three junior associates, creating an opportunity for an experienced professional to provide informal leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance without direct management responsibilities.

For the right candidate, this position has the potential to evolve into a de facto team lead role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed income reference data within Impact and Bloomberg.
• Perform security setup and ongoing security maintenance.
• Manage account setup and reference data validation.
• Update floating-rate securities, security factors, and other security master attributes.
• Investigate discrepancies between Bloomberg, Impact, and internal trade calculations.
• Troubleshoot pricing, accrued interest, factor, and security reference data breaks.
• Partner with the Middle Office team to resolve trade exceptions caused by inaccurate reference data.
• Oversee work performed by the Broadridge outsourcing team and ensure operational quality.
• Participate in enhancing the firm's account onboarding and intake processes.
• Support automation efforts and process improvement initiatives involving the Impact platform.
• Escalate issues when necessary while independently driving problem resolution.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of Fixed Income Operations experience.
• Strong Reference Data or Security Master experience.
• Experience supporting floating-rate securities.
• Experience supporting fixed income products.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Security setup
  • Account setup
  • Trade economics
  • Accrued interest calculations
  • Security factors
• Experience investigating pricing and reference data discrepancies.

Required Systems

• Impact (strongly preferred and nearly required).
• Bloomberg.
• Broadridge Impact preferred.
