Role: Google Cloud Platform Platform Engineer

Job Description:

Design and deliver secure, scalable networking for onboarded applications, including segmentation and hybrid connectivity patterns.

Looking for a skilled Google Cloud Platform Platform Engineer to build, automate, secure, and operate cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Python, Terraform, and cloud security, with supporting experience in IAM, networking, CI/CD, SRE, Vertex AI, and Kubernetes. The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable platform capabilities, enabling infrastructure automation, strengthening security controls, and improving reliability across cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities:

- Build/operate VPC/Shared VPC, subnets, routes, firewall policies, DNS patterns

- Define ingress/egress architecture, NAT, load balancing patterns, private access

- Support hybrid connectivity concepts (VPN/Interconnect), routing, and troubleshooting

- Deliver network changes safely via Terraform modules and staged rollouts

Required Skills/Experience:

-Google Cloud Platform networking fundamentals + secure segmentation/egress control patterns

-Terraform-based network provisioning; change safety/blast-radius management

-Troubleshooting using logs/flow data and systematic triage

-Nice-to-have: Centralized firewall governance; service perimeter concepts; WAF patterns

-Success measures: High connectivity reliability, low security exceptions, quick incident resolution
