Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy advanced analytics and machine learning solutions supporting Electric Operations. The ideal candidate will translate business problems into scalable data science solutions, build predictive models, and deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, train, and deploy machine learning models
  • Translate business requirements into analytical and data science solutions
  • Perform feature engineering, model evaluation, and optimization
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and business opportunities
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership through dashboards, reports, and presentations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact analytics solutions
  • Mentor junior data scientists and support best practices in data science.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6+ years / PhD with 3+ years)
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling and advanced analytics
  • Strong experience with Python, R, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Spark, and Jupyter Notebooks
  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, linear algebra, and machine learning algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and cloud-based analytics platforms
  • Experience with forecasting, Bayesian networks, and graph analytics
  • Utility/Energy industry experience
  • Foundry experience preferred
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $100.00-$105.00 per hour.
