Sustation Engineer

Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with a specialization in Substation engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical engineering skills and experience in designing and managing complex engineering projects related to substations.

Responsibilities

• Manage large and complex electrical engineering projects.
• Perform engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs.
• Provide technical leadership, direction, coaching, and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Serve as a technical resource for less experienced engineers and technical employees.
• Assist with project specifications and technical evaluation of contractor bids.
• Provide engineering support related to land, permitting, legal, and project execution matters.
• Independently resolve complex technical and engineering problems.
• Lead technical meetings and deliver presentations.
• Interpret applicable industry practices, engineering codes, and standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, internal project teams, and management.
• Provide technical direction and communicate engineering solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

<>Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''''''''s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited U.S. program or equivalent international degree.
• Minimum 8 years of cumulative electrical engineering and design experience.

<>Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on multiple large-scale, large-budget electric substation projects.
• Strong substation engineering experience.
• Strong project management skills.
• Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
