Database Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and data models.
• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and workflows using SSIS, Python, PySpark, and SQL Server.
• Execute large-scale data migrations, including data cleansing, validation, and transformation.
• Develop and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and views.
• Build data ingestion and transformation workflows across raw, staging, curated, and analytics layers.
• Build and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI.
• Design and implement logical and physical data models (ERDs).
• Support transactional and reporting systems.
• Provide production support, including troubleshooting performance issues and on-call support when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile development, code reviews, and release cycles.
• Provide knowledge transfer.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database development or data engineering.
• Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SSIS, Python, or PySpark.
• Strong background in data modeling and data integration.
• Experience with SSRS and Power BI.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Experience supporting critical applications in financial, government, or legal industries.
