Job Description

About Alpaca Health

Alpaca Health enables clinicians to become entrepreneurs, starting in autism care.

We help clinicians launch and scale their own clinics by providing AI-powered software, payer contracting, and full back-office infrastructure. Our goal is simple: shift power in healthcare away from large consolidated entities and back to clinicians.

We are growing quickly (30% MoM) and expanding into new states this year. The problems we are solving are operationally complex, high-stakes, and deeply meaningful for families.

We've raised over $14M in funding from early-stage investors like Core Innovation Capital, Adverb Ventures, and South Park Commons, and are building for long-term category leadership.

The Role

We're hiring a Product Manager to own the buildout of several critical internal functions. You’ll lead the planning, implementation and rollout of internal tools and automations used by the Alpaca team to better service clinicians.

What You'll Do

  1. Get to the bottom of hard problems. You’re going to be thrown into complex and ambiguous problems, clearly define the problems to be solved, and identify the 80/20 drivers and pursue them relentlessly.

  2. Rethink how the work gets done. You’ll have a chance to look at workflows with fresh eyes and design novel, industry first, high leverage solutions that work at scale. You’ll have a high degree of autonomy to select the best automation, integrations, product changes, and AI solutions.

  3. Design how work flows. You’ll map complex processes across people, systems, and outside partners, and design better ones that will stand the test of scale (as we grow 10x YoY).

  4. Build it yourself. Prototype and ship tools, automations, and workflows using code, AI-native tools, and design. You won't need to wait on engineering to prove an idea works.

  5. Own the outcome. You’ll work closely with our Head of Operations & Strategy to define success, then own the metrics and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • [REQUIRED] 4 - 8 years of Product Management experience, preferably having previously owned a function at a venture backed mid-stage startup (Series B - D)

  • [REQUIRED] Hands-on technical ability: comfortable writing code (Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar), building with AI tools, and working with APIs and data

  • [REQUIRED] Experience designing or rebuilding end-to-end processes in a regulated or operationally complex environment, such as healthcare, fintech, or logistics

  • A track record of world class problem solving. You’ve been able to solve problems that 99% of people were not able to with meaningful outcomes

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication. Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise way. Ability to tailor your message based on the audience you’re speaking to (i.e. clinicians, internal stakeholders, our investors).

  • Ownership Mindset: Self starter that can identify the highest leveraged problems to solve, and someone who has a relentless drive to solve them.

  • AI Native. You have a clear understanding of the current model strengths and weaknesses and know when best to solve a problem. You function at AI speed, completing high quality work in days that previously would have taken weeks or months.
