Applied AI EngineerAI StartupLocation: Fully Remote (Europe)Salary: £80,000 - £180,000 + EquityThe Role I'm working with a well-funded, stealth AI company building a next-generation AI assistant designed to help people manage everyday tasks, conversations and workflows.The product is still pre-launch, making this a genuine 0?1 opportunity to join a small, high-calibre engineering team and help shape both the product and technical direction from an early stage.They're hiring across multiple levels, from experienced AI Engineers through to Principal Engineers.Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI features from concept through to production
• Design and improve agent workflows, prompts, memory and tool use
• Build reliable AI systems that solve real user problems
• Improve latency, reliability and overall production performance
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure real-world model quality
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn ambiguous problems into working software
• Help shape technical direction as the product evolves

Key Requirements

• Commercial experience building production AI/ML applications
• Strong Python engineering skills
• Experience with modern LLMs and agentic AI systems
• Hands-on experience with RAG, vector databases and LLM orchestration
• Experience deploying and operating production ML systems
• Comfortable working across models, infrastructure and product
• Enjoy working in fast-moving, early-stage environments
