  • Analyze business and technical environments to identify critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations
  • Assess existing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, network segmentation, routing, connectivity, and associated monitoring tools
  • Review server, database, application, workstation, and infrastructure dependencies that may impact network design, system performance, security, or availability
  • Evaluate both current and legacy technology environments to identify compatibility concerns, integration requirements, operational risks, and opportunities for modernization
  • Support troubleshooting of connectivity, routing, access, performance, and communication issues across network, server, database, workstation, and application environments

2. Support the design & implementation of technical/infrastructure systems as they pertain to Cyber and OT Network projects

  • Translates business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints designed to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work
  • Works closely with the application owners and managers to ensure that targeted business requirements are delivered throughout the product lifecycle
  • Leads evaluation, design, and analysis across a portfolio of business applications and technologies to create solutions architectures aligned with enterprise business strategy and target state business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements, and enterprise standards
  • Consult with application and infrastructure development projects to ensure products are built to design standards, advising on necessary design modifications to accommodate the overall architecture
  • Implement network routes that allow for communication between sites for monitoring tools
  • Creates architectural designs and solution documentation to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects, and systems, including applications, technologies, processes, and information
  • Support the design, configuration, deployment, and validation of physical and virtual server infrastructure
  • Support server-side implementation activities, including operating system configuration, software installation, system integration, access requirements, patching coordination, monitoring, and operational readiness
  • Support database deployment and integration activities, including database installation, configuration, connectivity, authentication, redundancy, backup, performance, and application dependency requirements
  • Support workstation deployment activities, including hardware setup, operating system deployment, software installation, security configuration, network connectivity, peripheral integration, and user-readiness validation
  • Coordinate with network, server, database, security, application, workstation, and operational support teams to ensure all components of the solution are properly integrated
  • Identify and document technology dependencies across infrastructure, applications, databases, workstations, monitoring platforms, and legacy systems
  • Support implementation and troubleshooting activities involving new and existing technology platforms, including systems that may no longer be supported by the original manufacturer or that require integration with modern technology solutions.
  • Validate that deployed solutions meet technical, operational, security, performance, resiliency, and supportability requirements
  • Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, network drawings, system configurations, deployment documentation, implementation plans, operational procedures, and technical support documentation
  • Provide onsite or remote technical support during implementation, testing, deployment, system cutover, stabilization, and transition to operational support teams
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of monitoring, alerting, logging, backup, recovery, redundancy, and system-management capabilities across the technology environment
  • Ensure solutions account for the complete technology stack, including network infrastructure, servers, databases, applications, workstations, operating systems, security controls, monitoring tools, interfaces, and legacy technology components
