These are typically not-to-be-missed live and on-demand B2B events where industries convene and people gather to do business.
We also provide data and digital content, as well as year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads.
This role is based in our Fort Lauderdale office.
Job Description
As the Event Registration Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and collaborating within the registration department for events produced by South Florida Ventures. In this role, you will work closely with the internal team to ensure seamless event registration processes while maintaining a direct relationship with our global exhibitors.
You will be responsible for addressing exhibitor inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally through various communication channels, including email, phone, live chat, and on-site/in-person interactions. Your ability to provide kind and efficient support will be essential in fostering positive exhibitor experiences.
Additionally, you will develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of our events, offerings, and internal systems to ensure accurate and effective communication. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting event operations and managing registration communications to contribute to the overall success of our events.
This role requires a commitment to being present in the office for five days each week, unless traveling for an event.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a lead within the event group with open communication including the VP, sales, marketing, operations, and customer service
- Collaborate with SFV Registration department on specific requirements in required documentation for registration website builds to provide optimal exhibitor experience
- Facilitate acceptance testing to ensure quality and acceptance criteria are satisfied
- Oversee project life cycle from start to finish; maintain the current timeline for all events
- Weekly Pacing and Data Segmentation
- Manages registration implementation for extensive credential and/or conference programs
- Assist with onsite event operations such as ordering supplies, equipment, coordinating customer support programs and staffing; builds effective and efficient registration layouts
- Coordinates and supervises specialists and/or contract employees who provide ongoing support for registration operations.
- Become an extension of the ‘onsite team’ and foster a good relationship with colleagues.
- The ability to work outside of standard working hours to support exhibitors in different time zones
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems or Management; or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work with a team and manage one or more onsite employees
- 3-5 years of experience with SaaS, CRM, or Registration development
- Strong platform administration skills, ability to learn environment individually
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and recommendation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stress well
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
