Location: London
Role Type: Contract - 12 months

Our client is a large multinational firm that provides a range of financial services, including advisory, investment, and asset management solutions. It serves a diverse set of clients worldwide, focusing on strategic planning, market operations, and long-term financial growth.
What you'll do
- Provide L2/L3 support for complex production applications and investigate technical issues.
- Analyse logs, databases, interfaces, batch processes and system behaviour to identify root causes.
- Troubleshoot incidents across interconnected applications and support problem and change management activities.
- Trace data flows between applications, databases, APIs and downstream systems to resolve processing issues.
- Review existing code, SQL queries and scripts to understand application behaviour during investigations.
- Produce clear technical documentation, investigation findings and impact assessments while working closely with developers, infrastructure teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
What you bring
- Proven experience providing L2/L3 application support within a complex enterprise or financial services environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis and production incident investigation across integrated applications and systems.
- Good knowledge of SQL, with the ability to read and interpret Python, Java and Shell Scripts (Bash, Korn Shell or PowerShell).
- Experience using AI-assisted tools such as VS Code, GitHub Copilot or other AI coding assistants to support technical investigations and documentation.
- Understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, batch processing and application architecture.
- Experience supporting enterprise or financial systems such as Murex, Calypso, Summit, FIS Front Arena, trading platforms or risk systems, with excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
