Senior Backend Engineer - Kotlin

Position:      Senior Backend Engineer

Duration:    Contract

Location:     Jersey City, NJ

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer who can independently design, develop, deploy, and manage backend services using Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, WebFlux, AWS, and Terraform. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly contribute with minimal supervision.

🏅 Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kotlin and modern Spring ecosystem.
• Comfortable in using Kotlin with Spring boot
• Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and WebFlux.
• Deep understanding of reactive programming concepts and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services.
• Expert-level experience in Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service).
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend platform services.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native application design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud deployment strategies.
