Job Description

SQL Server Administrator (Mid-Level)

📍 Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Locals only
💼 Duration: Contract

We are looking for a Mid-Level SQL Server Administrator to support the migration of SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022/2025. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, upgrades, migrations, backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of SQL Server Administration experience
  • Experience migrating SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2022/2025
  • SQL Server installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Database backup, restore, and recovery
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • SQL Server security, user management, and permissions
  • Troubleshooting SQL Server issues
  • Experience with High Availability/Disaster Recovery (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication) is a plus
  • Strong T-SQL knowledge
  • Experience working in Windows Server environments

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Azure SQL experience is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
