Quick Overview
Job Description
What you'll do
Support hiring across our most technical roles
You'll own and support hiring across some of our most strategic technical roles in the UK, particularly in:
- AI / Machine Learning
- Infrastructure & Compute
- Software Engineering
- Product
- Leadership and other strategic hires
You'll work directly with founders and senior leaders to understand what we actually need rather than simply execute against a list of open positions.
Build a network, not just a pipeline
We don't want someone whose sourcing strategy starts and ends with LinkedIn Recruiter.
We want you to:
- Develop strong relationships within the UK AI and technology ecosystem
- Build long-term networks of engineers, founders, operators and technical leaders
- Attend and help identify relevant meetups, conferences and industry events
- Create relationships with people who may not be actively looking for their next role
- Identify creative ways to reach exceptional people
Understand the technology
You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be genuinely comfortable in technical environments.
You should be interested in topics such as AI inference, GPUs, distributed systems, ML infrastructure, data centres and the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
We expect our Talent team to understand what we're building and to be able to have credible conversations with highly technical candidates.
- 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Partnering, executive search or a similar role
- Strong experience recruiting technical profiles in the UK
- Good understanding of the UK technology ecosystem
- Experience recruiting within AI, ML, infrastructure, cloud, developer tools or another highly technical environment
- Ability to engage credibly with senior engineers, technical leaders and founders
- A strong network — or clear evidence that you know how to build one
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup where roles and priorities evolve quickly
- Able to work autonomously and make decisions without waiting for multiple layers of validation
- Open to occasionally supporting broader People topics beyond recruitment
- Strong ownership mentality: when you see something that needs doing, you help make it happen
Nice to have
- Existing network within the AI / ML ecosystem
- Experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup
- Exposure to UK People Ops, employment or benefits topics
- Experience recruiting within the ML/AI Space
We’re a remote-first collective, meeting in person twice a year to plan, brainstorm, celebrate wins, and enjoy some face-to-face time. We have core hours for cooperative working and calls, but outside of that your calendar is yours. Work the hours that let you perform at your peak while also building a healthy life.
Our release cycles are fast and intense, but they’re followed by real downtime. After big pushes we expect the team to unplug, recharge, and come back ready & stronger than ever for the next leap.
- Generous paid time off – vacation, sick days, public holidays
- Remote-first setup – work from home anywhere we can employ you
- Flexible hours – own your schedule outside core collaboration blocks
- Family leave – paid maternity, paternity, and caregiver time
- Company retreats – twice-yearly gatherings in inspiring locations
