About the roleWe are looking for a Lead Application Developer to join our team in Sydney.
Location: Sydney (preferred) flexible across Canberra, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a small team of developers, providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Design, develop, and implement application enhancements and new features.
- Produce high-quality, maintainable, and secure code aligned with project requirements.
- Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate technical solutions.
- Execute and oversee unit, system, and integration testing activities.
- Analyse test outcomes and resolve defects and performance issues.
- Support application maintenance activities, including incident resolution and defect remediation.
- Contribute to technical documentation for users, developers, and support teams.
- Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, security, and project management standards.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Manage customer expectations and provide exceptional service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement of applications, development processes, and support services.
- Support project planning, estimation, prioritisation, and technical decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience across the following technologies and practices:
Essential Technical Skills- .Net (C# 4.7.2, MVC, some WCF, some REST API)
- HTML, CSS
- Small amount of React
- SQL (MS SQL Server 2016/2022)
- MS AppFabric (Global Cache, now out-of-date)
- IIS
- Software testing and quality assurance
- Application support and maintenance
