SOCOTEC’s Infrastructure team delivers essential technical services that ensure the safety, quality and compliance of major construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. We provide independent construction materials testing to verify strength, durability and performance of key materials; foundations and pile testing to confirm ground stability; specialist structures and pavements assessment and analysis; and integrated geotechnical and structural monitoring that delivers real time data throughout project lifecycles. We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll support site and laboratory testing activities while learning industry standards and best practice under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
 

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
• Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory
• Completing test sheets, including calculations
• Supporting report production in line with QA systems

To be a successful Trainee Field Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
• No previous experience required as full training given
• Strong communication skills and a health & safety focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card  desirable but we can facilitate this for you
