HGSI endeavours to become the nucleus for Hartree's global enterprise functions including technology and engineering, accounting and financial reporting, treasury, operations, risk management, compliance, among other areas.


Position: Oracle Technical Lead

Job Summary

Location: Hyderabad

Position Type: Full-time, onsite. No hybrid work option.

Direct Reporting: HGSI Local Leadership team, Hyderabad

Functional Reporting: Global Head of HR Technology

Shift time (with flexibility to support other regions):

  • UK Shift : 2 pm to 11 pm IST 4.30 am to 13.30 pm EST/ 9.30 am to 6.30 pm UK time



Job Purpose

The Oracle Technical Lead is responsible for the technical design, integration, security and continuous improvement of the Oracle Fusion HCM platform. The role provides technical leadership to ensure Oracle HCM is secure, scalable and aligned with global business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.

Working closely with the HR, IT, Payroll, vendors and implementation partners, the Oracle Technical Lead supports the Global HR Technology strategy, implements the Global HR Data Governance Framework and delivers secure, reliable and innovative HR technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical leadership across the Oracle Fusion HCM platform.
  • Define and maintain technical standards, solution architecture and development best practices.
  • Support the Global Head of HR Technology in delivering the Global HR Technology strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement through innovation and technical excellence.

HR Data Governance & Technology Governance

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Global HR Data Governance Framework.
  • Ensure Oracle HCM technical solutions comply with global data standards, governance policies, security requirements and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Design and maintain technical controls that support data quality, system integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Support governance forums, vendor reviews and audit activities by providing technical expertise and recommendations.

Integrations & Technical Development

  • Design, develop and support integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST APIs, SOAP services, HDL and HCM Extracts.
  • Develop and maintain technical solutions, including Fast Formula, BI Publisher reports and integration components.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise integrations to ensure reliable system performance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.

Security & Environment Management

  • Administer Oracle HCM security, including roles, security profiles, user provisioning and access controls.
  • Manage environment refreshes, configuration migrations and deployment activities.
  • Maintain system availability, performance and security across all Oracle HCM environments.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational security standards and technical governance controls.

Data Migration & Technical Support

  • Lead data migration activities, including extraction, transformation, validation and HDL loading.
  • Provide technical support for complex system, integration and production issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with Oracle Support and implementation partners to resolve technical incidents.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles and support procedures.

Projects & Release Management

  • Lead the technical workstream for Oracle implementations, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support solution design, technical testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment and post-go-live activities.
  • Manage Oracle Quarterly Releases, including technical impact assessments and regression testing.
  • Ensure technical deliverables are completed in accordance with governance standards and project timelines.

Documentation, Vendor & Compliance

  • Maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, configuration records and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with Oracle, managed service providers and implementation partners to deliver high-quality technical services.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, audit, security and data privacy requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing technical evidence and documentation.


Requirements: education, competencies & skills

  • Must have about 12-15 years of experience in similar role
  • Strong Oracle HCM technical toolkit (HDL, Fast Formula, Extracts, APIs)
  • Technical Leadership - to be added
  • Experience with middleware tools (e.g. OIC)
  • Understanding of HR data models
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in global environments
