Our first Full Stack Engineer will be in charge of integrating and expanding our e-commerce platform capabilities, primarily leveraging Shopify to bring our creator led marketplace to life.

You should combine strong business collaboration with sharp web development skills to ensure smooth rollouts, reliable data migrations, and sound solution architecture. Great opportunity to take the next big step in your startup engineering career.

On a day to day basis, you will work on:

• Our Marketplace - build and enhance our platform through the Shopify app and custom theme developments. Work with the Head of Engineering to establish processes.
• Integration Projects - maintain data integrations essential for seamless operations and marketplace expansion.
• Frameworks and Databases - collaborate across platforms to ensure all systems run smoothly, are well integrated and reliable for the team, partners and customers.

You have:

• Creativity and passion for creating something new and exciting.
• Experience building Shopify based solutions that are efficient and easy to maintain, spanning liquid theme updates to app development with React and Remix.
• Strong Node.js and React knowledge; understanding of serverless functions.
• Good understanding of databases and ORM.
• Proficient with webhooks for real time data synchronization and event driven architecture.

Desirable (not required)

• Experience with unit testing and static analysis (TypeScript).
• Managing data migrations between systems to ensure integrity and minimal downtime.
• Experience with Three.js, WebGL and Unity for web based 3D content.

Compensation & Benefits

The starting salary for this role is AU$100,000 with increases as we grow. The role includes a meaningful equity stake in the company as part of the founding team.
