Information Technology Manager
Quick Overview
Job Description
IT Manager
Hospitality Technology & Systems Transformation
I’m currently working with an established hospitality and leisure organisation that is embarking on a significant technology transformation programme.
They are looking for an IT Manager to take ownership of a major systems migration initially, before becoming the permanent owner of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, technology estate and hospitality systems.
This is a genuinely hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys operating across technology, project delivery, vendors and the wider business — and who wants to have a visible impact on both technology and day-to-day operations.
The organisation is replacing a number of legacy platforms with a new technology ecosystem covering areas including:
- Property Management Systems (PMS)
- Point of Sale (POS)
- Membership
- Spa & Leisure
- Golf
- Reservations / Distribution
- Payments and integrations
- Wider IT infrastructure
The initial transformation programme is expected to run for approximately 12 months , after which the role will transition into ongoing ownership of the technology estate.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of the technology migration programme, coordinating multiple vendors and internal stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Owning the overall technology migration programme and roadmap
Managing multiple concurrent workstreams, dependencies, risks and timelines
Managing and challenging technology vendors and implementation partners
Overseeing data migration, cleansing, validation and testing
Coordinating UAT, training, cutover and go-live
Working closely with senior stakeholders and operational teams
Taking ownership of wider IT infrastructure, including networks, Wi-Fi, cloud/server environments, telephony and end-user devices
Supporting IT security, backup, disaster recovery and cyber hygiene
Managing the ongoing performance and adoption of new technology platforms
Owning supplier relationships, SLAs, licensing and technology costs
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality technology and IT, ideally within a hotel, leisure, golf, spa or similar operational environment.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience delivering complex technology implementations within hospitality
- Strong PMS experience and knowledge of hospitality technology ecosystems
- Practical experience with hospitality POS environments
- Knowledge of Spa, Leisure, Golf and/or Membership systems
- Experience managing data migration from legacy platforms
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent project/programme management capability
- A broad IT infrastructure background across networks, cloud/server environments and end-user technology
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach to IT ownership
Please contact me asap for a full spec.
