Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established equipment manufacturer based in the Witney, Oxfordshire area. Due to ongoing success they are seeking an enethusiastic Mechanical Design Enginere to join the team.

This is an an exciting opportunity for a R&D Design Engineer to join the Engineering team. The role reports to R&D manager and works closely with all teams across the business.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview

The R&D Design Engineer will work within the engineering team on existing and new R&D projects, and being responsible for:

• Designing of new and redesign of existing products
• Initial Build and Test of products throughout the design process
• Reporting of test results with conclusions and proposed next steps
• Producing bills of materials for products
• Working closely with other members of the Engineering team to ensure objectives are met.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree qualified within a Mechanical Engineering or Design related subject
• Experience of 3D CAD software, Preferably Autodesk Inventor
• Experience of working with product development
• Ability to read engineering drawings and experience of product testing
• Ability to use own initiative
• Based in a commutable distance of Witney, Oxfordshire
• Good project management, organisation and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach.

Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration

• Competitive Salary
• 37.5 hour working week. Monday to Friday.
• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
• Life Assurance
• Company Pension, matched up to 5%.
