Job Description

Street Furniture Repair Technician

Based out of our Rosebery depot, this role reports to the Field Service Manager. The Street Furniture Repair Technician will carry out scheduled and ad hoc repairs on QMS's suite of street furniture including bus shelters, advertising bollards, automatic public toilets, kiosks, bins and seats across the City of Sydney, and scheduled refurbishment as per QMS's contractual obligations.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out repairs on damaged street furniture;
  • Carry out periodic maintenance of street furniture;
  • Replacement of glass panels and glass in vandalised ad panels as well as undertake other necessary repairs within a warehouse environment;
  • Recording and submitting daily/weekly reports;
  • Ensure the repair/installation "cages" are in a safe and tidy condition at all times;
  • On occasion, a repair technician may be involved with the installation, relocation and removal of street furniture assets;
  • May be required to replace advertising posters from time to time;
  • Be on an on call roster to attend out of hours callouts to make sites safe.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role (Desirable);
  • Previous experience working outdoors (Desirable);
  • Proven experience with hand and power tools;
  • Hold a current, valid driver's licence;
  • Able to display evidence of a repair/maintenance background (Desirable);
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and thrive in a high pace, exciting and challenging environment.
