Class A CDL Driver (No "E" Restriction)

We are seeking a dedicated CDL Driver to join our transportation team. The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to designated locations using company vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of forklift safety, DOT laws, and customer-driven palletizing procedures.

Location/Schedule: Macon, GA / 1st shift  

What You’ll Do:  

• Understand and utilize traveler information to plan routes effectively.  
• Properly strap and secure loads on trucks to prevent shifting during transit.  
• Adhere to forklift safety protocols during loading and unloading.  
• Maintain knowledge of DOT laws and regulations governing commercial transportation.  
• Clean and inspect vehicles daily to ensure safe operation.  
• Follow customer-driven palletizing procedures for efficient delivery.  
• Utilize Portal and familiarize with job locations within the shop for efficient operations.  
• Utilize Prince vehicle capabilities for transportation needs.  
• Keep work area clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient work environment.  

Who You Are:  

• Valid Class A CDL license no “E” restrictions. 
• DOT Health Card required.  
• Prior experience in commercial driving or transportation preferred.  
• Pass a tape measure test to ensure accurate measurements.  
• Successfully complete a road test to demonstrate driving proficiency.  
• Knowledge of forklift safety procedures and experience operating forklifts.  
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and laws governing commercial transportation.  
• Ability to interpret traveler information and plan routes effectively.  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy loads.
